Our song of the week is Dingle Dangle Scarecrow. Click here to practice at home.  We know that scarecrows are a sign of Autumn. 

We have continued to add to our Autumn book with lots of learning at home happening as well as in school.

We went on an walk around school to look out for signs of Autumn. We had fun spotting squirrels and birds in the sky. We finished by reading a story called Pumpkin Soup. We had a great idea to make our own Autumn soup, we made a list of ingredients that we needed to make our own pumpkin soup. We are looking forward to going to the shop next week to get our ingredients.

We expored what harvest is and looked where our food comes from before we buy it was the shop. We went to see food growing by going pumpkin picking. We all had a great time picking our own pumpkins. Next week we will look at videos of harvesting and pictures of food growing. Can you begin to think what you are thankful for?

We practiced the skill of spreading in snack this week. Can you practice this at home and put an observation onto tapestry? 

We had our first health and well-being day. We talked about people who help us, like the dentist. We looked at how important it is to brush our teeth and how often we do this. We shared experiences of us going to the dentist. We also looked at how to keep our bodies healthy by what we eat and how much of each food to have.
