Our first full week in school....we smashed it!

This week has been all about routines. The chidlren have learnt to line up for lunch and moving around the school safely. They have loved trying school lunches, collecting their tray and choosing their food. We have been prctising stopping and coming to the carpet to listen to a story or to learn a new song. This week we have learnt Pete The Cat Starts School..have a listen at home!

We have explored lots of resources in the classroom and outside, learning how to use them safely. 

Our focus author this half term is Lizzie Stewert,

she wrote the books Juniper Jupiter and The Way To Treasure Island.

Next week we will be starting phonics and maths sessions. In maths we are looking at numbers up to 3 and in phonics we will be learning the sounds 's' and 'a'.
