Find out from your child about our week, here are some great questions to ask...
- What was your favourite part about today?
- What Super 6 did you practice today?
- What area of the classroom did you learn in today?
Our class author for this half term is the National Geographic books for children.
Here are the nursery rhymes and songs that we have been learning already this half term:
- Hickory Dickory Dock
- I'm a Little Teapot
- 5 Little Men in a flying saucer
- Mary Had a Little Lamb
- 5 Little Ducks
Follow the hyperlinks above to practice these at home.
Remember to look at our Terrific 10 books and Super 6 on our knowledge organisers. The Spring 1 is up on our class door!
We have also been sharing some of our terrific 10 books.
This week has been National Story Telling Week! We have enjoyed retelling stories with our grown ups and our friends. We enjoyed sharing our Terrific 10 books with our adults.
In Maths, we have been looking at part whole models. We have been using words such as 'part' and 'whole' to help us with our addition.
We have been looking at types of land, water and air vehicles. we have looked at transport from the past and present and looked at what is similar and what is different. This lead us onto talking about past toys and past technology. We enjoyed looking at our typewriter and old TV that we have in our classroom.
We prepared and made our own healthy snack with Miss Warren. We learnt how to chop carefully and how important it is to wash our hands before cooking. We talked about healthy choices and shared our favourite foods. We are really looking forward to working with Miss Warren every Tuesday and Thursday to prepare a new healthy snack.
We look forward to another great week next week.
